Madison Hoop Dreams School of Basketball Information

We offer an opportunity for your child to improve their ball handling skills and shooting form at our "School of Basketball" starting February 26. Each Monday and Friday, from February 26 to April 13, your child can work with our coaches to become a better player. With proper shooting form, they make a higher percentage of their shot attempts --- improving self-esteem. When their ball handling becomes automatic through repetition, they enjoy the game more --- improving self-esteem and self-confidence. Grades 3 - 5 meet at the Brown School from 6 PM to 7 PM. Grades 6 - 8 meet from 7 PM to 8 PM at the Brown School. High school players will work out from 8 PM to 9 PM. We encourage players to attend both nights each week. However, that is not always possible with so many competing activities (Catechism, scouts, team practices, etc.). Therefore, we allow families to select the dates that work for them. Our goal is to help each player improve their skills. This is individual motivation to improve and not competition between individuals. We will have a coach to player ration of at least 1 to 5. Most of the time, it is 1 to 4. The cost is $20 per session. If you pay up front and do not attend all the sessions you paid for, we will refund the difference. Or, you can pay each night. This is the most successful and meaningful activity we offer. Our summer camps are the most popular in CT. However, we cannot give each player the individual attention and encouragement that we can at our "School of Basketball".
