Madison Hoop Dreams Scholarship Application

Madison Hoop Dreams School of Basketball
Our "School of Basketball" will start on September 7th at the Robert H Brown School. It is an excellent way for players to Improve their ball- handling skills and pure shooting form We will have these clinics on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, each week starting September 7th through October 28th --- a total of 23 sessions. We welcome players in grades 3 - 9 from 5 PM to 6:15 PM. Coach Brett Zanardi will lead our sessions on Mondays and Wednesdays. On Fridays, we will have Coach Rich Pagliuca or Coach Bobby Moore in charge. Parents can choose as many dates as is convenient for their child. The more sessions attended, the better the results. We will have additional coaches, based on attendance, to maintain a ratio of at least 1 to 5 (coaches to players). Players get individual and small group instruction and encouraged to practice to "get better". The cost it $20 per session. For those who pay in advance, the total is $400. If you pay by month, it is $210 each month. Otherwise, it is helpful if to pay by the week ($60). However, you can pay each session as well. Anyone who pays in advance for the 23 sessions, monthly, or weekly, will get a credit or refund for sessions they are unable to attend. Please go to to register. The dates for The School of Basketball are as follows: September 7, 9, 12, 14, 16, 19, 21, 23, 26, 28, 30 and October 3, 5, 7, 10, 12, 14, 17, 19, 21, 24, 26, 28.

The School of Basketball focuses on ball handling skills and proper shooting techniques. We will also instruct on proper defensive stance and footwork. It is always gratifying to see the progress from the first session to the last session. Since it is an individual development program, new players are welcome and will get special instruction and encouragement. Players with established skills are challenged to "work hard" and "get better"! As players get better, we hold them to higher standards! Our focus is to help each player develop a love for basketball and the confidence in their skills to be competitive.

Madison Hoop Dreams Vacation Day Camp
Madison Hoop Dreams is offering a basketball day camp for players who are not celebrating the High Holy Day of Rosh Hashanah on Monday, September 26th. For students who are not celebrating the “New Year”, we will have a fun day of skill development and basketball games to help players develop their teamwork, sportsmanship, and court awareness on offense and defense. Please register at Camp is at the Robert H Brown School for grades 3 – 8 from 9 AM to 3 PM. Second graders who can shoot at a regulation height basket (10') and play with 3rd and 4th graders are also welcome.

This is also a reminder for parents looking for a way to help their youngster improve their basketball skills. Our “School of Basketball” clinics have helped hundreds of young people to learn proper shooting techniques and improve their ball handling skills; which has led to more confidence, pride in their game, and their love of basketball. Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday evening during September and October, players in grades 3 – 9 attend from 5 PM to 6:15 PM each session. We encourage every player to focus on doing things the “right way”!
