Madison Hoop Dreams Scholarship Application

Madison Hoop Dreams School of Basketball

Madison Hoop Dreams will have our "School of Basketball" program at the Polson Middle School, 302 Greenhill Rd, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays in September and October. The focus is on ball handling skills and pure shooting form. This is our 20th anniversary of offering this program. We are very proud of the many players who have gone on to start on many area basketball teams (both girl's and boy's). With improved offensive skills, players have more confidence in their abilities and increase their love for basketball. We will teach the art of shooting with drills they can take home, In addition, our instruction includes ball handling drills, different types of dribbling, pivoting, all the types of passes, driving , moving without the ball, while shooting over 100 shots each session ! Come join the fun! Last year, one camper ( 4th grader!) learned how to shoot an opposite handed layup after just one session !We love working with all campers through group and individual instruction!

The dates are: September 6, 8, 11, 13, 15, 18, 20, 22, 27, 29, and October 2, 4, 6, 11, 13, 16, 18, 20, 23, 25, 27. Each session is from 6 pm to 7:15 pm. The cost is $20 per session ($16/hour). We offer a different instructor each night. On Mondays, Bobby Moore (basketball legend from New Haven) will be the head coach. On Wednesdays, Brett Zanardi (assistant coach at Conn College) will be the head coach. On Fridays, Rich Pagliuca (one of the top coaches ever in CT) will be the head coach. Players get a variety of instruction to enhance their focus on the various skill sets..Each of the 3 coaches is considered one of ther top basketball coaches in the state.

Please go to madisonhoopdreams.com to register. It would be very helpful if each player attended with some of their friends or teammates to enhance their enjoyment of the activities. We intend to have 1 coach for every 5 players. We anticipate our 20th anniversary to be our best ever. We offer financial assistance to families in need of help. Please call Coach Bill Barker (203-494-6905) with any questions. If you choose to attend all sessions (21), the cost is $375. If you miss some sessions, a credit or refund is given. If you pay by week or by month, a credit or refund will, also, be given for sessions missed. The 3rd choice is to pay each evening you attend.

Madison Hoop Dreams Day Camp

On October 9th, most schools are off in recognition of Columbus Day. We will offer a day of basketball at the Polson Middle School at 302 Greenhill Rd . This is for all boys and girls in grades 3 --- 8 and will be from 9 AM to 3 PM. After about an hour of skill development, we have games the rest of the day until Coach Rich Pagliuca, "The Candyman", arrives to teach our campers some offensive moves and a variety of picks to get teammates open and how to properly utilize a pick. It is a day of good competition and lots of fun!!! With Coach Bratt Zanardi, Coach Bobby Moore, Coach Tyler Boris and Coach Kyle Hoffman, every player gets personal instruction and leaves the gym with more knowledge, more confidence, and a greater love of basketball.. We will limit our enrollment to 60 campers. So, we encourage everyone to register early. We draw from about 20 towns with the majority of campers from Madison, Guilford, and Old Saybrook. The cost is $50 for the day. However, a family sending two children pays $45 per child. With three or more children, the cost is $40 per child (family friendly pricing). Please share this opportunity with teammates and other friends. Having friends there is not essential. However, it adds to the competition and fun. Most campers start the day without knowing anyone there and leave with many new friendships.
