Madison Hoop Dreams School of Basketball Information

Fortunately, the Robert H Brown Middle School at 980 Durham Rd in Madison has approved our request to use their facility for our “School of Basketball”. Our intention is to use the 2 outdoor courts when weather permits and to use the gym in bad weather. When outdoors, masks are optional. Indoors, masks are required for players and coaches. In addition, when indoors, parents or spectators are not allowed. For September 30 and for our November dates, we are able to use Camp Laurelwood (Brown is not available for those dates). Camp Laurelwood has an outdoor, covered, court for rain or shine. The School of Basketball is an excellent way for players to Improve their ball- handling skills and pure shooting form. We do not have competitive games. Our focus is on skill development through drills and small group instruction. Clinics for players in grades 3 – 6 are from 5:00 to 6:00 PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting on September 14 through November 23 (a total of 21 sessions). Parents can choose as many dates as is convenient for their child. The more sessions attended, the better the results. Grades 7 – 10 will meet from 5:00 to 6:00 PM each of those dates. We strive for a coach to player ratio of 1 to 5. Players get individual and small group instruction and encouraged to practice to “get better”. The cost is $20/session. You can pay each session, by the week, by the month, or for the fall season ($400). Our focus is to help each player develop a love for basketball and the confidence in their skills to be competitive.
